BARRA DO SAHY, located in the county of São Sebastião, still preserves the characteristics of a local village settlement. The coast points to the southeast where you can see the sunset on the sea during the summertime. The beach of Barra do Sahy, small and gorgeous has "The Islands", just in front of it, very close.

Boatmen transport visitors to this place regularly. "The Islands" are so called, because from the distance we can see three elevations which look as if they were independent. Over there two beaches with rosy sand and calm water face Barra do Sahy.

Barra do Sahy has the Atlantic Forest on the coast, the world's richest forest in biodiversity, for having the greatest number of species of fauna and flora per square meter. It is the habitat of 15% of all the species living in the planet.

Its format, in the shape of a horseshoe, gives a very cosy look to the beach with its calm sea, clear water and soft and white sand.

In the far end south side of the beach there are the Rocks of Canto Bravo (Rocks of the Fierce Corner). Very high rocks form an astonishing and exuberant natural pool. Be sure you visit it and enjoy a dive. In the opposite far end of the beach you can find the river Sahy.
